We Will Stop

I have not been writing for some time. The amount of unfinished posts I have is quite frustrating, but as I went to complete them today I just didn’t have any words for the topics I had started. My mind kept coming back to the great faithfulness of God, and how I fail so often to give Him the praise He deserves, and requires of me.

“We will remember, we will remember, We will remember the works of Your hands, We will stop, and give You praise, For great is Thy faithfulness”

We will stop. The above are lyrics to one of my favorite songs, and this morning as I was thinking of the song I was hit by those three words; “we will stop”. Life gets busy sometimes, we get tired, and our beds at the end of the day is what keeps us sane. Sometimes all we are busy with is ourselves, I know this is sometimes the case with me. I have learned more than ever these last few years that I am wired with selfish ambitions. I think this is true for majority of people. We as humans have a pretty high view of ourselves, and it takes a disciplined effort to STOP and give Him praise.

I am so thankful for this past year and a half of my life. It almost seems weird to write that, because it has been one of the hardest years of my life spiritually. My garden had become very weedy, and it took many hard days to clear out the weeds, and make room for the one I call my Lord and Savior. It was a year of refreshing revival in many areas of my life. One of the most important lessons I have learned in those hard times is that we have to STOP, and give Him praise. When we take time to praise God for who He is, and for what He has done, there is no option other than to fall before Him in adoration. We are called to glorify God. When we worship God, we are not focusing on ourselves, and it is in these times that we are fully and completely in the will of God, and that, my friends, is a wonderful and joyous feeling.

I may not know a lot, but this I know; that we can never praise and worship our Lord too much. So in the good times, and the more difficult times, let us not forget to STOP, and give Him praise, because great is His faithfulness.

(Chorus)
We will remember we will remember We will remember the works of Your hands We will stop and give You praise For great is Thy faithfulness

(Verse 1)

You’re our creator our life sustainer
Deliverer our comfort our joy
Throughout the ages You’ve been our shelter
Our peace in the midst of the storm

(Verse 2)
With signs and wonders You’ve shown Your power
With precious blood You showed us Your grace
You’ve been our helper our liberator
The giver of life with no end

(Verse 3)
When we walk through life’s darkest valleys
We will look back at all You have done
And we will shout our God is good
And He is the faithful one

(Bridge)
Hallelujah hallelujah
To the one from whom all blessings flow
Hallelujah hallelujah
To the one whose glory has been shown

(Verse 4)
I still remember the day You saved me
The day I heard You call out my name
You said You loved me and would never leave me
And I’ve never been the same
